📢 Important: You need to be on Goodlawyer Slack! This is our primary method of communication!
What Is Slack?
Slack is by far the best method to:
- Get a quick response from a member of the Goodlawyer Team;
- Keep up to date on platform news and developments;
- Access and communicate with an excellent network of Goodlawyers.
Communication over Slack includes both “direct messages” to individuals, and "channels" (group chats that include all Goodlawyers and Goodlawyer team members).
Being active on Slack is essential to staying connected, receiving important updates, and being considered for new mandates. We recommend setting up your Slack notifications to stay connected but also to minimize distractions for your work style and hours. Participation is critical; it’s how we work together and build our community!
Goodlawyer’s Slack Channels
For general questions that might apply to other Goodlawyers, or if you are unsure who to contact directly, post your question in the appropriate channel and someone from the Goodlawyer Team will respond.
Check the Slack channel descriptions to ensure you’re messaging in the relevant channel. They range from a channel specifically for precedent sharing, all the way to fun random posts!

Direct messages (DMs)
If you have a question that may not be relevant or appropriate to post publicly, send a DM to a member of the Goodlawyer Team!
Make sure to check Slack frequently for messages, as this is our primary method of communication.
Alternative Methods of Contacting the Goodlawyer Team
Email is the second best method of communication. The team will respond to emails but less quickly than Slack messages.
